About  Valerie Griffin, Registered Early Childhood Educator

I am an RECE. The acronym RECE is a designation to affirm that an individual meets the standards required of a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators.  The designation reflects the protected scope of the early childhood education profession.
I am currently employed as a DECE.  A designated early childhood educator is a job title created by Ontario's Ministry of Education in the Education Act.  It's an occupational role for early childhood educators who work in school classrooms in collaboration with an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT).
